At our club, tryouts are essential because our teams have limited spots available. We aim to create a committed group of players whom we can dedicate time, resources, and support to maximize their growth and success on and off the field. Tryouts help us identify individuals who share our passion for the game and are ready to invest their energy and dedication into becoming part of our club.

🗓️When and where are tryouts?
Tryouts happen over the summer or in between seasons. Come back for more information.
⚽Do Current Derby United Players Need to Attend Tryouts?
Absolutely! Every year brings new opportunities, so make sure to join us at tryouts. If you can’t make it or have additional questions, work with your coach.
⏰When Should Players Arrive?
Arrive at least 15 minutes before tryout time for a smooth check-in process and to get ready for an exciting session with Derby United!
👕 What Should Players Wear to Tryouts?
Wear your best soccer gear, including soccer cleats and shin guards. Bring along some water for a refreshing experience at tryouts with Derby United!
🥅 When Will I Know if My Child Made a Team?
You’ll hear back within 1-2 days of the final tryout. Keep an eye on your email or text messages, and once your child secures a spot, get ready to join the Derby United family!
👕 Season Info and Cost:
Each team participates in 8-game seasons during Fall (Aug – Oct) and Spring (Feb – May). Each season there is a league fee (typically $130-$160, based on roster size), additional costs include uniforms and optional tournaments.
